This place is made up of a synthesis of the most relevant works carried out at the university to show practical and theoretical knowledge that I have acquired throughout my career. Within this section we will find great diversity and connectivity between its areas, highlighting the transversality with which this degree is approached.

Its full name is Architecture Studies, which are 5 academic years divided into 3 blocks:

FIRST BLOCK | 1st course | "Basic materials for architecture"

The first year is based on the first approach to all the fields related to architecture, sometimes, without being strictly this but that, in the end, find their meaning, Bases for theory, for example, is the window through which begins to look at the History of Architecture and its critical thinking, while Mathematics or Physics, also taught in this course, will be the forerunners of what will be structures and facilities. After all, this first year is a development of the necessary tools to tackle the next blocks.

SECOND BLOCK | 2nd, 3rd and 4th year | "Form, construction and place", "Housing and urban environment" and "Endowments, equipment and public space"

At this point is where all the core subjects that will be repeated throughout the block appear, changing themes and increasing difficulty: Projects, Urban Planning, Structures, Construction, Conditioning and services, History, Theory and Architectural Representation. In this way, the most “practical” subjects, such as we could consider to be structures, construction and conditioning and services, will be linked to the subject of specific projects to help them develop more understandably. In the 1st course of this block, one begins with single-family homes and a small public building with fixed structural systems, continuing with the course of  "Housing and city" that goes from these single-family homes to a social one, blocks of collective housing, sheltered and with a strong relationship with the city, also relating it to urban planning in this case.

In the last course of this block, which would be the 4th of the degree, buildings of a much larger size are covered, multipurpose and multifunctional buildings, with an open program and that the student will also have to think about the need for what one projects, once again, from the hand of an Urbanism course on a whole city scale, according to the rest of the subjects also on this larger scale.

THIRD BLOCK | 5th year | "Thematic workshops"

This last year of the degree corresponds to an independent block, although it retains the same core subjects, it will be the culmination where everything learned so far will be demonstrated. After four courses discovering all areas of architecture, the student will be the one who chooses the workshop that best suits their interests along with the seminars.

In my case, this last block was developed abroad by Erasmus in Dublin, in which development was still something similar to that of ETSAB, and in which I was able to continue developing my interest in the large-scale social building, as well as its symbiosis with the city.
