New Poblenou's Graveyard

As a beginning of this whole project, the theme of touristification and the monument would be found.

This place could house these two words, not as problems of the city of Barcelona but as Solutions.

On the one hand, we find touristification in the Poblenou neighbourhood, a problem that has been growing in the area in recent years. Cement is a place visited by both places and tourists, although this is not a great attraction for its nature.

And this is what the idea of ​​the final project will deal with, the nature of cemeteries and this one in particular. In this specific geographical area, the idea of ​​visiting a cemetery may not be liked in addition to being a sad place, while in other areas, not only with a culture very different from ours, treating cemeteries as places where you go with family, places to walk or to stay reading a book.

What this building tries to do is just that, to generate a park, some walking tours, while we also have an identity with which it identifies the city, giving it the meaning of a monument.

What can contribute is a further degree of respect for this installation, although it draws attention in a significant way than inviting a curious year and observing this new building.

For this reason, the result of the building will be a high cemetery, where a large tower will house the bodies of beings that are no longer there.

To complete and compensate this proposal that, after all, aims to attract people, you can also create housing. The latter is easy that it may collide at first because they are almost antonyms, a house in a cemetery, but in reality, they may seem more than thought.

In this way, the house and the cemetery, for equality of materials and system, make a dialogue in the area, cleanly and simply, creating new facades to the chosen block, which had already lost them.
